Elvin Zhang is a 12th-grade student at Del Norte High School in San Diego, California. He has had a strong passion for science and engineering for many years. Elvin has been competing in Science Olympiads for six years and has won numerous medals at regional, state, and national competitions. Elvin competed at the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair and California Science and Engineering Fair.  Elvin has been actively participating in activities promoting STEM in many communities. He is a coach for middle and high school Science Olympiad teams and leadership team in several clubs. Elvin is passionate about promoting the various STEM and educational programs to disadvantaged students worldwide.
